MONOGRAPH
Ready-to-wear from Copenhagen, cut only in black, white, and grey. Six seasons in, still refusing color.
About Monograph
Monograph was founded in Copenhagen in 2020 by Astrid Vinter, a trained architect who turned to fashion after a decade of practice. The label's founding principle was simple: every collection would be shot, styled, and produced entirely in black, white, and grey. No colour. No exceptions.
Six seasons later, that principle has become a practice. Working from an atelier on Refshaleøen — Copenhagen's former industrial island — Vinter and her team of six produce limited runs of garments that treat monochrome not as restriction but as discipline. Each piece is developed over months, not weeks, using fabrics sourced from mills in Yorkshire, Biella, and Kyoto.
The label publishes this site as a living record of its work — lookbooks, studio notes, essays on restraint and material, and an archive of every collection since the first cut in September 2020.
